The female-led Ghostbusters film is a thing that is happening. It looks funny – haunted by the same quirks as the original, with Chris Hemsworth as a clueless secretary and then a possessed vessel for the villain. The Ghostbusters are going to have to go and save him, and that sounds like it could be a lot of fun. It’s certainly going to get a rise from audiences, with some already hating the film for reasons that boil down to “we don’t like that there’re girls in the movie.” I think we need to bury the hatchet and give this thing a chance.

The new soundtrack and movie are both up for release on the same day – July 15th – but the original soundtrack is up for pre-order on June 23rd through iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play.
